PAGbASA: May Pag-asa sa Pagbasa successfully conducted its seventh learning session on March 14, 2026, at Saraet Elementary School, bringing together 18 dedicated volunteers and 28 enthusiastic children. The activity continued the group’s mission of nurturing young learners by strengthening their reading and numeracy skills through engaging and meaningful activities.

The session opened with a series of motivational games aligned with the day’s lesson. These activities were facilitated by Himamaylan Area Coordinator, Wilfred Miranda, who energized the children and prepared them for the learning sessions ahead. The interactive games helped create a lively and encouraging atmosphere, allowing the pupils to feel more confident and ready to participate.

Following the opening activities, the class discussion was led by Aira M. Guimeroy, who focused on the Mathematics topic “Comparing Numbers up to 1000.” Through clear explanations and guided exercises, the learners were able to understand how to compare numbers using symbols and practical examples. The lesson aimed to strengthen the pupils’ numeracy skills while encouraging active participation in the classroom.

After the academic discussion, the session continued with a storytelling activity led by Beatrize Dadivas, Christina Mae Macarang, and Emelisa Bustamante. The volunteers shared three engaging stories titled “Ang Batang Ulap,” “Ang Malinis na Malmag,” and “Sampung Butong Pakwang.” The storytelling activity captured the children’s attention while promoting imagination, listening comprehension, and appreciation for stories.

The session concluded with a short feedback segment where volunteers reflected on the day’s activities and shared insights about the learners’ participation and progress. This reflection allowed the team to evaluate the session and further improve future learning activities.

Through the continuous efforts of its volunteers, PAGbASA: May Pag-asa sa Pagbasa remains committed to bringing hope and learning opportunities to young pupils, helping them develop confidence in both reading and mathematics.
