A total of 47 volunteers and 30 learners successfully conducted their sixth class session on March 07, 2026, at Saraet Elementary School, continuing the mission of PAGbASA: May Pag-asa sa Pagbasa to strengthen literacy and learning among young students.

The session began with a prayer followed by a motivational dance, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere for both the learners and volunteers. The energizing start helped the children feel more confident and excited to participate in the activities prepared for them.
The main lesson focused on Mathematics, particularly reading and writing numbers. The discussion was led by volunteer teacher John Carl Norbe, who guided the learners through different exercises designed to help them understand numbers better. Through engaging explanations and practice activities, the children were able to improve their basic numeracy skills while enjoying the learning process.
After the class session, the volunteers gathered for a feedback session where they discussed their observations from the activity. The meeting allowed the team to reflect on what went well and identify areas that need improvement to make future sessions more effective.

During the discussion, Carl Norbe shared several recommendations for the next session to further enhance the learners’ progress: continuous review of basic spelling and pronunciation; practice in writing letters and numbers; conduct more interactive activities; use numeracy flashcards: utilize flashcards with phrases; and implement one-on-one teaching for better guidance
These suggestions aim to strengthen both literacy and numeracy skills while ensuring that each learner receives enough support during the sessions.
Reflecting on the experience, volunteer Kent Ivan Bautista shared a meaningful insight about the activity:
“It wasn’t only about guiding children through reading lessons—it was about building connections, inspiring confidence, and growing together. Moments like these remind me that education is not just about teaching lessons, but about touching lives.”
The sixth class session once again highlighted the dedication of the volunteers and the eagerness of the learners. Through continuous collaboration, PAGbASA: May Pag-asa sa Pagbasa remains committed to nurturing young minds and bringing hope through education.
