The Hope Builders Organization Negros Island (HBONI) successfully conducted its Strategic Planning 2026 at the Bulata Camping Area in Cauayan, Negros Occidental, on January 31 to February 1, 2026, bringing together its leaders and members to strengthen the organization’s direction for the coming year.

A total of 25 Hope Builders from the project teams, area councils, core council, and administrative council actively participated in the planning activity. The gathering served as a venue for reflection, collaboration, and forward planning grounded in HBONI’s commitment to youth empowerment and community development.

Highlights of the activity included the crafting of the 2026 Calendar of Activities, the conduct of a SWOT Analysis, and the sharing of lessons learned from the implementation of Programs, Projects, and Activities (PPAs) in 2025. These sessions allowed the organization to assess accomplishments, address challenges, and develop strategic approaches to improve the impact and sustainability of its initiatives.

The strategic planning was further strengthened through the support of HBONI’s partners. 99.7 Brigada Kabankalan, a media partner of the organization, supported the activity, helping amplify HBONI’s advocacy and initiatives. The 15th Infantry Battalion, 3ID, PA provided essential transportation assistance for the participants, ensuring the safe and smooth conduct of the planning activity. In addition, the Congresswoman of the 6th District of Negros Occidental, Hon. Mercedes “Cheding” K. Alvarez, extended valuable assistance in the conduct of the planning, underscoring her continued support for youth-led and community-centered programs.

Through open dialogue and participatory workshops, Hope Builders shared insights and experiences that strengthened coordination across councils and ensured alignment of goals and priorities.

As HBONI gears up for 2026, the outcomes of the strategic planning reaffirm the organization’s dedication to participatory leadership, evidence-based planning, and strengthened partnerships in delivering meaningful programs and services to communities across Negros Island.
