Tanom Ko, Pagkaon Ko is a pilot project spearheaded by the Hope Builders Organization Negros Island Inc. (HBONI), aimed at strengthening agricultural production and ensuring food security at the community level. The initiative is anchored on the belief that sustainable access to food begins with empowering people to grow what they eat.

As a pilot implementation, the project focuses on promoting backyard and community gardening as practical solutions to food insecurity. The initiative will also highlight capacity-building as a key component, introducing the basic and climate-resilient agricultural practices, proper crop care, and sustainable farming techniques.

Beyond food production, Tanom Ko, Pagkaon Ko fosters community cooperation and shared responsibility. Through this pilot initiative, HBONI seeks support from possible partners and sponsors for this pilot implementation.

"People ask me what I do in the winter when there's no baseball. I'll tell you what I do. I stare out the window and wait for spring."
