Nine members of the Hope Builders Organization Negros Island Inc. (HBONI) took part in the Leadership Camp organized by Youth on the Rock at the Balicaocao Highland Resort, on July 26-27, 2025, a two-day event aimed at deepening faith, honing leadership skills, and fostering community engagement.

The Hope Builders’ participation showcased their commitment to becoming value-driven leaders, actively contributing to sessions and activities that centered on the camp’s core themes: God, leadership, and community service. Through workshops, inspirational talks, and collaborative sharing, they learned practical ways to integrate servant leadership into their work within the organization and their local communities.

“Joining this camp is more than just a learning experience; it’s a reaffirmation of our mission to lead with purpose, grounded in faith,” Jiroe Castro shared.

The Hope Builders also brought their unique perspective to group discussions, sharing insights from their ongoing projects across Negros Island, particularly in youth development, education, and environmental advocacy. Their active engagement reflected HBONI’s vision of empowering young leaders to become catalysts for positive change.

As the day concluded, the Hope Builders left the highland with a renewed commitment to lead through service, inspired by faith, and anchored in the belief that true leadership begins with a heart fully surrendered to God.
