Hope Builders Organization Negros Island Inc. (HBONI), through its “Neg50s” relief drive, brought much-needed aid to families in Hacienda Alicia, Barangay 5, Isabela, Negros Occidental, on November 7, 2025, after Typhoon Tino engulfed homes and swept away properties.
The Neg50s campaign was born from the idea that even P50 can go a long way to bring hope to those in need.
“When the storm took everything, kindness can bring it back,” shared one volunteer, emphasizing that the initiative stands as a testament to the power of collective compassion.
The relief drive focused on providing essential needs to the affected residents, distributing: 25 jags of water, 5 containers (10 liters each), 9 containers (7 liters each), 16 gallons of water, and 70 bottles (500ml each).
Aside from clean drinking water, the community also received clothes, sanitary pads, diapers, canned goods, and instant noodles—all vital in helping families recover from the storm’s aftermath.
The beneficiaries in Hacienda Alicia expressed heartfelt gratitude to all who donated and volunteered. For them, every pack of goods symbolized not just aid—but hope and care from people who refused to look away.
Through Neg50s, the community of Isabela was reminded that rebuilding lives begins with small acts of generosity and big hearts willing to help.
The initiative was made possible through the collaboration of several partner organizations, including: Central Philippines State University – Supreme Student Government, 100.5 CPSU Radyo Muscovado Sweet FM, Brigada News Kabankalan, Alpha Sigma Phi Organization, Brgy.
