The PAGbASA: May Pag-asa sa Pagbasa team formally presented its literacy advocacy project to Sara-et Elementary School and the Barangay Sara-et Council, marking another step toward strengthening literacy and community engagement among young learners, at Barangay Sara-et, Himamaylan City, on October 22, 2025.

The project presentation was led by Area Coordinator Wilfred R. Miranda, together with John Belle Eseller, Deputy Head for External Affairs, and Mrs. Aya Portia Gatuslao, SASFA President. The advocacy focuses on improving literacy skills through weekend reading sessions, storytelling activities, and basic literacy development for early graders in the barangay.
The initiative earned the full support of Barangay Sara-et Officials headed by Hon. Agapito Lozada, along with Mrs. Rowena O. Beral, Principal of Sara-et Elementary School. Both leaders expressed their commitment to helping sustain the program and ensure its success among the learners and parents in the community.

Meanwhile, Hon. Adelina B. Saraet, Barangay Kagawad for Education, expressed her wholehearted support for the literacy project. She also pledged to provide snacks and logistical support for every weekend reading session, demonstrating her dedication to promoting education and community development.
The PAGBASA: May Pag-asa sa Pagbasa program continues to embody its mission of instilling hope through reading, proving that literacy is not only a skill but also a powerful tool for empowerment and lifelong learning.
