The Hope Builders Organization Negros Island Inc. (HBONI) has been recognized by the Provincial Youth Development Council (PYDC) of Negros Occidental as one of its active members during the SK Awards and PYDC Recognition Rites held at Negros Residences, Bacolod City, on August 25, 2025.
HBONI was recognized for its strong commitment to advancing youth empowerment, community engagement, and leadership development across Negros Island.

The organization has been at the forefront of programs that nurture young leaders, promote environmental stewardship, and create inclusive opportunities for the youth sector.
HBONI was represented by Sybel Nobleza, HBONI Director for Programs, who accepted the recognition on behalf of the organization.
Nobleza emphasized that the award is a testament to the collective effort of young volunteers and leaders who continue to champion meaningful change in their communities especially in geographically isolated and disadvantaged area.

“This recognition affirms our mission of building hope and empowering the next generation. It inspires us to continue creating spaces where young people can lead, serve, and make a lasting impact,” Nobleza said.
The SK Awards and PYDC Recognition also honored outstanding Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) councils that passed the Ideal Functionality Assessment conducted by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). The annual recognition seeks to highlight exemplary performance in youth governance and strengthen collaboration between SK leaders, youth organizations, and local government partners.
By recognizing HBONI and other youth organizations, the PYDC gave highlight on the importance of partnerships in building resilient and empowered communities throughout Negros Occidental.*
