The Hope Builders Organization Negros Island Inc. (HBONI) took the center stage on August 1, to champion its flagship environmental advocacy — the One Green Movement (OGM) Initiative over 100.5 CPSU Radyo Muscovado Sweet FM in Kabankalan City.

Hope Builders and OGM team members Gladys Gustilo and Joshua Arias joined anchor Andrelyn Bello to discuss the movement’s core objectives: empowering the youth of Negros Island to take the lead in tree-growing, promoting sustainable practices, and advancing climate action within their communities.

The discussion also delved more into OGM’s ongoing programs and partnerships in Southern Negros Occidental province, highlighting collaborations with local communities to encourage stewardship and ecological accountability among young people.

Gustilo and Arias shared that the movement is not only about planting trees but also about fostering a mindset of environmental responsibility.

The young green leaders invited listeners to actively participate, emphasizing that collective effort is vital to building a greener and more sustainable Negros Island.

The on-air episode served as both an awareness campaign and a call to action, inspiring the community to embrace environmental education and youth leadership as key drivers for lasting change.*
