“You volunteer today, You lead on the next day.”
This was the challenge posed by Kenneth G. Bacala, founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Hope Builders Organization Negros Island Inc. (HBONI), to student leaders of the High School Department of Binalbagan Catholic College (BCC) during their Leadership Training on August 2, 2025, at the Rev. Fr. Patrick V. Hurley Multi-purpose Gym.
Bacala, who served as one of the resource speakers, urged participants to see service as the foundation of leadership, stressing the values of integrity, sacrifice, and wholehearted dedication.

His talk focused on strengthening students’ leadership skills in school and the wider community.
Ariel B. Solina, in his message, placed emphasis on the inclusive and holistic nature of this year’s leadership formation.

“A student leader is a role model on character, on values of the school, and on being a BCCian,” he said, encouraging the youth to extend their leadership influence beyond titles and into their families and communities.
The one-day training left participants inspired and empowered, reminding each BCCian leader that leadership is not about power or prestige but about character, service, and purpose.*
